Amazon Remembers: A New Mobile Shopping Feature

amazonAmerican e-commerence giant - Amazon, has launched a new mobile shopping application called "Amazon Remembers" for the iPhone and iPod Touch is now available is Apple App Store. This feature allows mobile users to snap a photo of a product and then submit it to the online retailer, which tries to find products similar to the ones in the photos.

Besides searching and browsing for products, Amazon Remembers also enables you to have access to popular shopping features such as Customer Reviews, and purchase using 1-Click shopping and Amazon Prime.

"We designed the Amazon app to be a quick and easy way for iPhone and iPod touch users to shop, browse, and buy with Amazon.com," said Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile. "We're also really excited about Amazon Remembers because it's a fun and useful way to use the iPhone camera to find and remember items while on-the-go. Customers can build visual lists of things they want to remember, buy, or even learn more about."

This app is indeed useful to those who have trouble remembering the name of what they have seem to like earlier on. Thus, with this feature, it will not be time-consuming as Amazon Remembers lets you take a photo of the product and send it to Amazon. As I don't carry an iPhone and iPod Touch, I simply wish that Amazon could expand the number of phones so it will benefits most of its users.
